Moto Droid RAZR/MAXX, Xoom, Atrix, Bionic ICS Update Release Dates Updated

Motorola has updated its Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update resource page expected time frame and what will not be updated.

Some devices that were previously under consideration such as the Droid X2 will not be updated to ICS.

All the previously announced products from Verizon Wireless remain on the list with some showing a Q2 release which means we will hopefully see those updates before the end of June.

The most recent models to receive the updates will be the Droid RAZR, Droid and RAZR MAXX and Motorola Xoom/3G with second quarter "roll-outs."  The Motorola Atrix 4G, Droid Xyboards, Droid Bionic, Droid 4 and Xoom Family Edition will not receive upgrades until Q3 according to the latest update.

  • DROID RAZR MAXX - ICS Upgrade rollout begins in Q2 2012.
  • DROID XYBOARD 8.2 - ICS Upgrade Rollout begins in early Q3 2012.
  • DROID XYBOARD 10.1 - ICS Upgrade Rollout begins in early Q3 2012.
  • MOTOROLA XOOM WiFi + 3G MZ600 - ICS Upgrade Rollout begins in Q2 2012.
  • ATRIX 2 -ICS Upgrade rollout begins in Q3 2012.
  • ATRIX 4G MB860 - ICS Upgrade rollout begins in Q3 2012.
  • DROID 4 - ICS Upgrade rollout begins in Q3 2012.
  • DROID BIONIC - ICS Upgrade rollout begins in early Q3 2012.
  • MOTOROLA XOOM Family Edition - ICS Upgrade rollout begins in Q3 2012.
  • PHOTON 4G - ICS Upgrade rollout begins in Q4 2012.
