LG has a design for a new mobile screen that offers a full 1900 x 1080p High Definition resolution with a a very tight pixel density of 440 pixels per inch (better than iPhone retina display).
The new screens will be available the second half of this year. The Full HD LCD is being demonstrated at SID 2012 Display Week in Boston.
The new screen uses Advanced High Performance In-Plane Switching (AH-IPS) technology which they claim will be the first time Full HDTV quality will be on a smartphone.
LG says that this type of technology produces highly accurate color, wide viewing angles, and rapid response to user touch.
Other features are that the panel is bright, power efficient, and "ideal" for use outdoors. The screen will released in the second half of this year.
The 5" screen will definitely add to phabulous phablet phun.
