Samsung announced that its phabulous phablet the Samsung Galaxy Note has reached sales of 10 million beating its original goal of 7 million.
In March, over 5 million Galaxy Note phablets were sold worldwide. It looks like the analysts are right, there is a growing demand for phablets which has features of both tablet and smartphone. More than 208 million phablets, like the Samsung Galaxy Note, will be shipped globally in 2015, predicts ABI Research.Samsung has sold over 28 million Galaxy S smartphone and 24 million Samsung Galaxy S II smartphones making for 50 million sales in the Galaxy S phamily. The Samsung Galaxy S II line is expected to get updates to Android ICS while the Samsung Galaxy S line will not receive updates.
Many are awaiting waiting for the Samsung Galaxy S III that is expected to be launched in the United States over the summer. The Samsung Galaxy S III will be heavily promoted during the Olympics and presale buyers form lines outside of stores in the UK.
Many believe that the Samsung Galaxy S lines of smartphones and phablets are the best competitors to the iPhone. Samsung makes many of the components for Apple's iPhone.
