After Sprint sold out of its preorders for the Samsung Galaxy S III last night, the company has officially delayed the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S3 in stores tomorrow, July 21. Online retailers ( Wirefly/LetsTalk) are accepting preorders and offering substantial discounts.
Sprint announced in its blog that Samsung informed the company that Samsung "will not be able to deliver enough inventory of Galaxy S III for Sprint to begin selling the device on June 21.”
Sprint began shipping preorders of the 16 GB Samsung Galaxy S III and expect they will be delivered tomorrow.
Sprint is working with Samsung to get inventory as soon as possible but has not stated a new release date.
Sprint also warned those who preordered the Samsung Galaxy S III that shipments may be delayed. Preorder customers can track the status of preorders at sprints website.
Sprint apologized for the situation and the minor delay.
