Uh-oh, the carriers are getting swamped with Samsung Galaxy S III orders with Sprint stating that it is "a little behind on shipments".
The Sprint website is no longer accepting preorders for any model of the Samsung Galaxy S III. So how can you get the next big thing around June 21? We found some online retailers that were still accepting preorders (as of this writing) and we can offer you some tips about first-day sales of hot smart phones in the past.
Update 6/20/2012 6:50 PM PDT: Sprint has officially delayed the release date of the Samsung Galaxy S III. Online retailers are still offering some good deals.
Sprint claims it hopefully will be able to deliver to customers all the preorders of the 16 GB model of the Samsung Galaxy S III by June 21 but orders may be one or two days late. Those who opted for the 32 GB model will have to wait because they will not ship until the next week. Sprint is calling the situation "overwhelming demand and limited supplies."
Over the weekend, we noticed that online retailers were discounting the Samsung Galaxy S III for Sprint with some pretty nice deals. A w weekend of high-volume sales may have pushed the stock over the edge.
in the past, when Sprint ran out of stock they often stop taking orders from their website. We checked tonight and The 16GB model showed preorder closed and stated "check back 6/21". Then we checked the 32GB model which also showed preorders closed.

We checked at Lets Talk. It is still staking preorders for Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III 16GB for $199.99 for upgrades and new lines, however you have until June 30, 2012 to take 10% off your cart using TALK4TEN coupon code taking $20 off your cart. Some have reported that coupon code does not work with addition of the family plan, however, at least you can still preorder tonight. If you are bargain hunter remember you can trade-in your old phone for up to $300 from Samsung.
If you really really want a Samsung Galaxy S III on June 21, you can also go the store route. Call your local Sprint store to see if you can preorder or reserve a place in line. You can contact RadioShack associate on June 20 to see how they will handle the sales of the Samsung Galaxy S III from Sprint.
We attempted to call our local Sprint store and could not get an associate, however we were prompted to make an appointment online. There maybe some online appointments left at your local Sprint store.
We called our local Best Buy store and were informed that they would not have any Samsung Galaxy S III in stock for any carrier until June 28.
We have heard in the past that RadioShack sometimes takes reservations to pick up smartphones.
