iPhone 4S vs Samsung Galaxy S3 (III) Post-Trial Pre-Release Date Best Return Deals?

iPhoneTrade-InIn the aftermath of the Samsung trademark trial and in anticipation of the new iPhone 5 launch there are many good deals if you want to sell or trade in your working iPhone 4S. The trial is leading some to unload their used Samsung equipment while others flocked to stores worried that the Samsung Galaxy S III would be banned.

Best Trade-In Deals Indicators

Gazelle.com reported a 50% increase in  those recycling  Samsung smartphones in the last three days and a 10% drop in prices. Apple will now give you a gift certificate of $345 for a working 64GB iPhone 4S.

Gazelle pays money for broken iPhones. A "Flawless" 32GB iPhone 4S will bring in $308 with a price guarantee until October 1, 2012.  A "Flawless "64GB AT&T iPhone 4S will get $333 with free shipping a broken same model will get $110. The same model on the Verizon network will bring $330 for a "Flawless" and $110 "Broken."

The best prices we could find were from Amazon Trade-In  as of today is showing a 32GB AT&T iPhone 4S to have a Trade-in Value of up to $455.00 and from $490-$500 for all 64GB iPhone 4S but you won't get cash you'll get an Amazon gift card.

Of course those iPhones went on sale less than a year ago and you have to pay an early termination fee and probably won't get a reduced price and have to buy the new iPhone 5 for full price, so it's still going to cost you.

Two years ago if you bought an iPhone 4 16GB, you may be up for renewal where Amazon will pay you up to $270 in trade-in value.  The exact price is calculated after Amazon Trade-In  inspects the condition of the iPhone. Note also the price may change when the date is closer to launch of the new iPhone 5.

Amazon is not showing a trade-in value for the Samsung Galaxy S III. A "Flawless" Samsung Galaxy S III can be traded for $206 at Gazelle .

Global Equities' Trip Chowdhry,  surveyed Costco, AT&T,  Sprint  and  Verizon Stores, then reported due  to the Apple and Samsung August 24th verdict, customers rushed to buy Samsung Galaxy S III this weekend.  Some stores reported stock sold-out.

So what should you do? When we compared the Samsung Galaxy S III to new iPhone 5 we suggested several reasons for buying a Samsung Galaxy S III this summer, add to it a possible ban in the United States. The hearing however has been pushed until December 6.

If you don't want to bound by a contract check out the Virgin Mobile iPhone 4S, the upfront cost is more than the trade-in values we discussed earlier.

Yes the new iPhone 5 will be bigger, faster and have more features but it will probably be costly even with a trade-in  gift card.  Read the latest new iPhone 5 rumors. In the meantime, enjoy the last week of summer before Labor Day.  We can assure you that there will be a ton of new releases coming in the fall for the holidays.

In regards to who was first to use icons, we still contend it was Cleopatra in the Egyptian Pyramids.

  1. Yipee, I can trade-in my iPhone 4S and get $500 but I will have pay full price for the next iPhone proabably $600 and pay a $350 ETF. I'm not rich, can't afford it, but I want to make sure that Apple and AT&T make record profits.

  2. The prices of Trade-ins and recycling usally go down when people unlod their iPhones for a new model. For the prices some people pay for used iPhones, I could get a junky car and a Windows netbook!

  3. I can't live without an iPhone 5. If I have to I'll stop eating to pay my wireless bill. I can live on bread, water and unlimited data.

  4. Now that Steve Jobs is gone, I don't think the next iPhone will be that great. Steve gave is life for us to have a computer in every pocket.

  5. I've seen day laborers with iPhones outside home depot. It seems everyone "has to have" an iPhone.
