Were getting close to the holidays and when Google announces its next pure Google smartphone with the Nexus name. We've Had the Nexus One made by HTC, the Nexus S from Samsung, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus and now it looks like the next Nexus will will made by LG.
The premier Nexus device is usually given as a holiday bonus to Google employees. The LG Nexus is expected to be announced at the end of this month and an apparently has not been given a name yet. There are also rumors that there will be more than one Nexus smartphone revealed.
Many contend the LG Nexus is similar to the LG Optimus G with a 4.7" inch screen. Google employees have said that new LG Nexus looks like the Galaxy Nexus and will come four colors with LG logo on the back.
Leaked and speculated specs include quad-core Snapdragon S4 processor, 1280x768 pixel screen, Android 4.2, 2GB RAM, 8MP camera, nonremovable battery, wireless charging, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
Google reportedly is also changing its nexus strategy and will offer certifications to manufacturers for pure Google Nexus smartphones for which maker will guarantee Android updates. Last year, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus was named one of the top smarpthones of the year.
Suggested names include, Optmus Nexus, LG Nexus, Nexus LG and ? We know it won't be called the same as the well-reviewed Google 7" tablet the Nexus 7 or the even cheaper $99 Nexus mini.
