Best T-Mobile Smartphones: Samsung Galaxy S III, HTC One S, Note 2 & Nexus 4

T-Mobile SmartphoesWe were finally able to tabulate the figures across several reviewers to cover the best smartphones 2012 from T-Mobile.  T-Mobile was formerly known to be the only major carrier not to offer the iPhone.  T-Mobile will be offering the iPhone next year, however, the best smartphones of 2012 for T-Mobile show some the same as other carriers, while others are unique to T-Mobile.

We collected reviews from several sources and pro-rated them to see which ones scored highest. All the phones except for three are Android phones. Two of the best smartphones are Windows phones. Here are the best smartphones with the lowest ranked first.

There are several phones that were included in some lists that have good reviews but were not included in all the lists . The well-rated smartphones were the Samsung Galaxy S Relay, Nokia Lumia 810,  Samsung Gravity Text, LG Optimus L9, Samsung Galaxy S Blaze  and T-Mobile myTouch 4G Slide.

The HTC 8X is the premiere Windows 8 smartphone ahs  gotten some excellent reviews but appeared late in season. T-Mobile is offering it for free after a $100 mail-in-rebate for a web-only price.

The best four T-Mobile smartphones  in reverse order are:

Google Nexus 4 (read review) - a pure Google smartphone with many features that are top of the line such as 1.5 GHx quad-core processor, pure Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, 8MP camera and ability for wireless charging. Priced at $199.99 from T-Mobile with a contract, the unlocked Nexus 4 is backordered and in short supply.

3. Samsung Galaxy Note 2 - the second incarnation of the phabulous phablet with an S Pen for creative types and many photo features.  Our review of the Samsung Galaxy Note II points out the best features and deals. Compare to Samsung Galaxy S III.  Wirefly has a special deal  $299.99 for new and upgrades with free activation. T-Mobile is showing a web-only $100 mail-in-rebate.

2. HTC One S - with Beats Audio, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, 1GB RAM, 4.3" aHD Super AMOLED touchscreen,  HTC Sense and 8MP camera, this smartphone is currently free with a qualifying plan.

1. Samsung Galaxy S IIIthe blockbuster top-seller since June, for a while it was the only smartphone to beat the iPhone. It is expected to be updated to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean soon and will have premium software enhancements later.   1. Windows Phones are getting better all the time....Th HTC 8X with a $100 rebate is a great deal.
