While the sales of the Nexus 4 is red hot, so hot you can't get your hands on one without a contract, a new excuse emerged today from Larry Page. There were also unsubstantiated non-credited and denied Motorola X Phone rumors to put into the bogus pocus focus.
During the Google conference call, Page talked about the future of the Nexus and Nexus woes.
Page noted that "there is work to be done managing our supply better… and that is priority for the teams.” Previously, a French Google exec said that Google had underestimated demand. The Nexus 4 was named one of the top smartphones of 2012. Brian Scollo of LG showed us some neat Nexus 4 tricks at CES (see video). The Nexus 4 may or may not be sold at Walmart.
Page said that Motorola will be delivering innovation in the future. He suggested that Motorola could tackle battery issues and how easily smartphones break.
Google’s Patrick Pichette noted that Google is still finishing off Motorola’s existing hardware timeline, for about 12-18 months of releases when Motorola was acquired.
In wishful thinking department, there are new Nexus Motorola X rumors a foot, which is a sort of Nexus cum Moto branding and an unlocked dream phone for all carriers.
The Android super smartphone reportedly will be the first to be unlocked tor the Verizon Network, cost $299 and possibly have an added on monthly fee of $15 a month to unlock the bootloader on the Verizon Wireless Network.
The Motorola X apparently will be announced at Google I/O on May 15 but may not released until July 8. This is when many of the those who still have subsidized Droid RAZR and other RAZR devices will have their contracts end.
Reportedly, the Motorola X will be sold through the Google Play Store and come with stock Android.
The original source noted that it sounded "too good to be true" it linked a forum thread that was afterwords closed and wanted to no longer be quoted or credited.
Page's comments have led some to believe that Motorola X Phone won't be out this year but is in the pipeline
Wishful thinkers and tinkers are hoping for a 4.7"or larger HD touchscreen, new fancy 4+ core processor, wireless charging and flexible screen.
It could be that the Motorola X Phone has the X Factor of desirability but needs the team from the X Files to track it down in reality. (play creepy music)
it is certainly hard to catch up on all these smartphones that keep coming out in the market. How can anyone possibly stick to a single unit for months to an end when there are just so many to choose from?
