As we noted, Sprint launched its LTE network in Los Angeles, today. If you are not as Los Angeles-centric as we at WiMo News are, here's a list of the latest markets.
New Sprint 4G LTE Markets in the United States, Today April 18, 2013:
- Los Angeles and Contra Costa County.
- Florida- Palm Bay, Port St. Lucie, West Palm Beach.
- Indiana- Bloomington and Lafayette.
- Illinois- Rochelle
- Minnesota- Mankato-North Mankato
- Missouri- Joplin.
- North Carolina- Charlotte, Shelby, Albemarle, Sailsbury, Lincolnton.
- Tennessee- Memphis, Greenville, Tullahoma.
- Texas- Denison, Kerrville.
- Virginia- Norfolk-Virginia Beach-Newport.

Sprint LTE can be as fast as 13Mbps down and 5.5Mbps uploading data. Sprint has overhauled its towers for increased capacity and more stable connections.
You have to have an LTE enabled smartphone such as the Samsung Galaxy S III, Samsung Galaxy Note 2, Galaxy Victory 4G LTE, HTC EVO 4G LTE, LG Viper 4G LTE, Galaxy Nexus, iPhone 5 or Motorola Photon Q LTE. The two newest Sprint LTE models, the HTC One will be available April 19 while the Samsung Galaxy S4 will go on sale April 27. (compare HTC One to SG S4)
