Verizon UpdateLeaked internal confidential screenshots show possible upcoming release dates of the upgrade schedule of Android Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) updates for Verizon Wireless smartphones in May and beyond.

Verizon announced in March exactly which models will be updated to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS).  The roll-out may be coming soon.

Motorola Xoom UpdateMotorola Xoom owners have two things to be happy about.  They can still upgrade their 3G Verizon Xoom tablets to 4G LTE until March 31 and they will be getting an update to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

Today, Verizon Wireless announced all of its planned ICS updates and on the Motorola list was the Motorola Xoom, their first dual-core tablet, with a promised upgrade to Android 4.0 to be announced in the future.

Andy Android Motorola Ice Cream Sandwich UpdatesMotorola revealed some more details about the future updates to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) for the many of its popular smartphones and tablets.

We suspected that Motorola would be very Android-update friendly after Google bought it and there many-a-update planned for rolling out in the future.  When we say future we don't mean near future, we mean next quarter and even mid summer.

Motorola cautioned that their timing is Motorola Mobility's best estimate and contingent on successful completion of testing.

Motorola Xoom 4GMotorola has done a big "Whoops," reminding us how important it is to wipe data with factory reset before returning merchandise. Motorola reported that  100 out of a batch of 6,200 Refurbished Motorola XOOM  Wi-Fi tablets  may not have been completely cleared of the original owner’s data prior to resale.

The affected Xoom tablets were resold by Woot.com between October and December 2011.  To protect the former owners, Motorola suggest they monitor their credit and are given a free  two-year membership o Experian’s ProtectMyID Alert. Original owners who performed a factory data reset prior to returning the device are not impacted. Affected owners can return the tablets to Motorola.
