T-Mobile New Unlimited Deals: HTC One S Free, Samsung Galaxy S3 Cheap with Free Activation Start 2Day

HTC One S FreeT-Mobile started offering its new tier of data plans, with completely truly unlimited data, today. The previous unlimited plans were capped and throttled at 2GB.  To sweeten the deal T-Mobile is offering it's second top seller  for free while an online retailer is offering free activation and discounts.

The first announcement was unclear and we contacted T-Mobile to find out how the upgrade process  works. Say for example you already hide a 2 GB unlimited data plan and you wanted to upgrade to the truly unlimited data plan here's the official statement:

“New and existing T-Mobile customers will be eligible for T-Mobile’s new Unlimited Nationwide 4G data plan. Existing Value and Classic plan customers can simply migrate to the new Unlimited Nationwide 4G data plan without extending their two year contract. T-Mobile customers on grandfathered plans who choose to migrate to the new Unlimited Nationwide 4G data plan will be required to sign a new two-year contract,” said McLaughlin."

After checking at our local store, we were able to confirm that new T-Mobile customers with a two-year contact, will get the HTC One S for free after a $50 rebate card when you buy it online at T-Mobile. In stores the price is $149.99 and a $50 rebate. We tried to call T-Mobile customer service and the line was busy. You have click on the HTC One S to buy it and also get the rebate form in the process.

The new unlimited data plans run about an extra $10 per month, depending upon the plan you already have. The best deals can be had if bring your own phone .  T-Mobile T Mobile New Unlimited Data vs Old Unlimited Data $10 More Per Month? offers a free T-Mobile SIM for compatible T-Mobile phones and unlocked GSM phones.

As we noted previously that we’d had great success buying pre-owned recent model smartphones for around $200 through CowBoom for the best deal.

We read the fine print at the T-Mobile website "Credit approval, $35/line activation fee or $18/line upgrade fee, and qualifying plan on 2-year contract (with up to $200/line early cancellation fee) may be required for advertised price. Mail-in rebate card may be required."  Supplies may be limited.

T-Mobile will not let you buy a phone or plan without a credit check.

  2. We're on a family plan and I'm not going to pay more for my son to get unlimited data. Then he'll never talk to me.

  3. I don't understand how they can upgrade an unlimited plan to another unlimited plan and you have to pay more money. This whole unlimited thing is getting unreal unsatisfactory and anything but understood.
