- New In-Stat (www.in-stat.com) research forecasts that unit shipments for low-cost Android smartphones will approach 340 million worldwide in 2015.

- Consumers are becoming more entrenched in their choice of operating system, 36% will only consider one phone OS, compared with only 23% last year.
