What a difference a day makes. As of Friday morning, there was no solid rumor for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus release date. Two sources show leaked screenshots that push the Samsung Galaxy Nexus release date to Thursday, December, 8.
A Twitter user Tweeted a photo showing an internal Verizon email that states:
"The Samsung Galaxy Nexus is now scheduled to launch in all locations on Thursday, 12/8. Devices and demo units will be sent to stores prior to the launch. Accessories have begun to ship to stores this week in regular weekly accessory orders."
The same text has been reported by two different sources.
Another leaked Verizon internal document compares specs of the major dual-core smartphones shows the storage on board of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus to be 32GB which is important because the Nexus doesn't have a microSD slot for expansion.
So those of you who are vying for the Twitter contest to win a free Galaxy Nexus (which ends 11/21) can rest assured that you will receive your notification(12/5) in time to decide whether to buy one or not.
The good news is that Verizon Wireless doubled the amount of 4G LTE data for the price through the holidays. It also extends its return policy until January for smartphones bought after November 15 until January 15, with a $35 restocking fee.
It also gives you time to watch all the new Samsung Galaxy Nexus videos.
