We have got just a few more lists of the best smartphones of the year to review before we announce the final winner. Today, we examine the list of Laptop's top ten best smartphones of the year.
Previously, we analyzed the Digital Trends, PC World, PCMag and CNET top 2011 smartphone lists along with Consumer Reports' top best-rated choices for Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, AT&T and Sprint.
Laptop is one of the most-picky and hardest hitting when reviewing smartphones. Their list has no surprises except for the Samsung Focus Flash Windows Phone. Like other lists, there are no BlackBerry models but include some of the most popular smartphones of the year. Laptop's list includes more recently released models than other lists. Most of the top ten received Editors' Choice (EC) and are packed with features and fast data speeds.
The Samsung Galaxy Nexus (unlocked version) appears in the list published before the Samsung Galaxy Nexus was released on Verizon Wireless. All the models are rated 4 out of 5.
- Droid RAZR 4/5 -This Droid is praised for slimness, super AMOLED touchscreen and fast LTE speeds. WMNS ROR' reviewers of the DROID RAZR gave it Editors' Choice and rated it "well" for being the fastest and thinnest for now.

- Samsung Focus Flash 4/5 - This compact Windows Phone has a great display and is affordable.
- Motorola Atrix 2 4/5 EC - This second generation Atrix has a brighter touchscreen, sharper camera and a solid design.
- Samsung Galaxy SII 4/5 EC - This superphone is super slim, with a gorgeous screen, dual-core performance and fast data speeds.
- HTC Amaze 4G 4/5 - It has a gorgeous design with fast 4G speeds and one of the best cameras you can get in a smartphone.
- HTC Evo 3D 4/5 EC - The EVO 3D's dual-core performance, Sense UI and impressive 4G speeds make it a winner.
- MyTouch 4G Slide 4/5 EC - A formidable Android slider with solid QWERTY keyboard and "fastest camera."
- Samsung Galaxy Nexus 4/5 (Unlocked) - It is the winning combination of the new Android 4.0 with a best-in-class 720p screen and super-fast performance.
- Apple iPhone 4S 4/5 - Called top-notch, it has a great display, camera, and voice control while still being slim.
