To entice new4G LTE smartphone users over the holidays, Verizon Wireless was offering double the data for the same price. The deal ends tonight.
If you don't have a data plan now with Verizon Wireless, you may want to get busy and order your first 4G LTE smartphone.
Verizon users who already have unlimited data on any smartphone will be grandfathered and continue to have unlimited data plans when upgrading to a 4G LTE smartphone according to Verizon spokeswoman Brenda Raney. The double data deal will also stay with the Verizon customer.
Raney wrote in an email:
"Once customers get the plan, they keep the plan as long as they are using a 4G smartphone. Limited time refers to our selling it, not customers using it."
" This promotion is not available for Mobile Hotspot plans or USBs."
