For those of you who were able to nab the BlackBerry PlayBook during one the sales, you can now update it to OS 2.0 with enhancements in email, social media, wireless connections and productivity.
New BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.0 features include:
- Built-in email, calendar and contacts in BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.0 lets you manage all of your email accounts with a unified inbox, scheduling, and people view. It is integrated with a social hub with social media information.
- Social Sync - the built-in calendar is designed to pull in the information that matters to you from your social networks and make it available where and when you need it. Contact cards are dynamically populated with the latest real-time information from your Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn accounts to create a consolidated view of your contacts most recent updates.
- BlackBerry Bride allows you to use your BlackBerry smarpthone as remote control for your PlayBook for presenatiosn.
- Open on lets you open media on your BlackBerry smartphone or PlayBook with one click.
Along with the release of BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.0, RIM is making available an initial release of BlackBerry®Mobile Fusion that will include support for managing BlackBerry PlayBook tablets and BlackBerry smartphones in an enterprise.
