GPS Fix for Asus Transformer Prime by Hardware

The metal case on the Asus Transformer Prime  was causing GPS problems which software could not fix.  Asus has a new solution a GPS dongle to get a better GPS location fix.

Starting April 16, Asus will offer a sign-up page for Asus Transformer Prime Owners owners to register for a free GPS add-on.

It will then take a few weeks for owners to get the devices. The Asus Transformer Prime  was the first tablet to be updated to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. In February, owners could void their warranty by using an Asus supplied unlock bootloader tool.

Asus is one of suspected makers of the Google Nexus tablet.

The Wi-F and GPS signal issues are expected to address in the next model by a non-metallic case in the he Transformer Prime  TF700T.

 The Asus Transformer Prime was named as one of the most popular coolest best tablets of 2011.
