By Lynn Walford 07/13/2012 Tweet

Next Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Unpacked in August? T Mobile Release Date UpdateWhile the Samsung Galaxy S III gains momentum that phabulous phablet the Samsung Galaxy Note, may be coming to more carriers and in a new revamped version.

Samsung has scheduled an Unpacked Event for August 30 when it most likely announce a new device the conjecturatti note that it will be a Samsung Galaxy Note. Previous rumors suggested a fall launch for the next Galaxy Note.

It looks like the original Samsung Galaxy Note is destined for T-Mobile.  T-Mobile support website now has support documents. The T-Mobile Spin to Win game offers the Galaxy Note as one of its prizes.

The release date is suspected to be August 18 which apparently was pushed back after a delay.

Meanwhile, the AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note just received an update to Android 4.0 ICS on July 10.  The delay could be due to T-Mobile upgrading the device, first.

Previously, a leaked internal training sheet for T-Mobile showed features that include a dual core 1.5 GHz processor, 8 GB camera, front camera and HSPA+ capabilities.

Some bloggers are pleading with T-Mobile to PLEASE announce the Samsung Galaxy Note.  However, AT&T currently has an exclusive on the device. We're wondering if the Samsung Galaxy S III shortages are effecting the Samsung Galaxy Note delivery dates...

The next version of the Samsung Galaxy Note is expected to run Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, be thinner and more phabulous than ever.

More than 208 million phablets, like the Samsung Galaxy Note, will be shipped globally in 2015, predicts ABI Research.
