Motorola is stepping up its game in the smartphone field. We've gotten some clues as to what the Nexus 5 and or Motorola X will be like from Google and Motorola executives.
"Motorola and Google have a new set of products, which are phenomenal--think of it as phone-plus," noted Eric Schmidt that will be coming "sooner rather than later."
Meanwhile, Jim Wicks Motorola's design chief told PC Mag that “better is better” rather than “bigger is better." Motorola will build more cross-carrier brands, making fewer products but will not give up the Droid line for Verizon Wireless.
Wickes reported the first Google-influenced Motorola phones will start to appear in the second half of 2013.
They are also cutting down the amount of preloaded bloatware. The company has been working the last eight months on new Motorola phones with positive feedback and collaboration.
There are.. "a lot of people that want something that’s just about right size-wise," reported Wickesl.
If we look at the plethora of Motorola X rumors and Nexus 5 conjecturatti from these quotes we can deduct.
The smartphone called "Ghost" appeared as XT912A running on the AT&T network with a less than new processor a Snapdragon S4 Pro and 720p HD touchscreen. May be a true economy model.
Speculated specs for the Motorola X NXT included a 4.7" touchscren, NVIDIA Tegra 4 processor, 16MP camera and 5MP front camera which also serves as a light sensor with eye scrolling features. That screen may not be as big as the rumors imagine.
The Motorola X may be announced at Google I/O but may not released until July 8, noted one report. If we look at Schmidt's comments it may be true. If Motorola is not vying for the biggest screens and fastest processor it can get product to market fast and cheaply.
In new CNET UK video, the Nexus 5 is imagined to have 4.7" inch 1080p HD screen, quad-core processor, super Nikon camera and Android 5.0. The Nexus 4 was very low-priced and the Nexus 5will most likely have a great price, too noted an analyst.
It is not clear, yet, if Motorola is making the next Nexus 5 phone or not.
There have been new reports that Asus is making the new Nexus 7 and in time for a summer release.
The hottest smartphones of this spring the HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S4 have been slow to release because it is hard to manufacture so much new technology quickly.
Whenever or whatever is released, we can be sure there problems with customer service like every other Google produced Nexus including first Nexus 7, Nexus 4 way back to the Nexus One
