It's almost a year since the original Nexus 7 was released and many are wondering what the next New Nexus 7 will be like.
Google is reportedly working with another Nexus 7 tablet for a summer release date. The New Nexus 7 will apparently have a faster processor and higher resolution.
This rumor seems more logical than the Motorola X dream machine cum everything including Porsche-like customization.
The New Nexus 7 may be priced lower than $199 or may be more competitive priced at $149.99 to fuel ad revenue because 97% of Google's revenue comes from advertising. The source told Reuters that Google may discontinue the current Nexus 7 16GB and 32GB model after launch.
The new Nexus tablet made by Asus will most likely be loaded with Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and have a thinner bezel. The previous Nexus 7 had Nvidia Tegra 3 processors.
Google expects to sell 6-8 million tablets in the second half 2013 or over double what was sold last year.
Previous rumors suggested that the Nexus 7 would be revealed at Google I/O.
Other features we suspect the New Nexus 7 will have that the Nexus 10 already has:
- Full HD screen with as many as 330ppi.
- Latest version of Android Key Lime Pie.
- Higher capacity battery.
- Miracast streaming.
- Gorilla Glass.
- 2GB RAM.
- 5MP or better camera.
The New Nexus 7 will most likely include higher GHZ quad-core processor, stronger Gorilla Glass, two Wi-Fi antennas (t0 compete with Kindle Fire) and problems with customer service like every other Google produced Nexus including first Nexus 7, Nexus 4 way back to the Nexus One.
Rumors around the Nexus 5 include that you can customize features of the device such as homescreens, data configuration and synchronization. If those features work on the Nexus 5, the new Nexus 7 may have them too.
Google has proved that price can propel sales even with poor customer service and long waits for supplies.
