The HTC Thunderbolt update release dates are expected in July-August.
HTC warns:
"Because of partner and network testing, and approval processes for device updates, it can take up to 45 days for all carriers and countries to get the update after a rollout has begun. If your phone has not received the update after the 45-day period, navigate to Settings>About>Software Updates to have your device manually check for updates. In general, devices with 512MB ROM or less will not be upgraded to Android 4.0."

If HTC gets my thunderbolt an update soon I will stick with them when I buy my next phone. Even with the HUGE problems of the thunderbolt. If they don't get one out before the next Google update, Then Motorola or Samsung are looking pretty good.
