This week's top stories include many of our best smartphone of 2012 round-up articles, holiday deals, updates, tips, reviews and comparisons.  We have postponed the announcement of the best smartphone of the year until next week due to technical problems with Google news listings.  Don't forget newsletter subscriber get the news in shorter formats, without ads or pictures, specially formatted for mobile phones.

The Consumer Reports round-up has proven to be the most popular because we prorated their score to match a format we are more accustomed to.  Then of course the best Verizon smartphones of the year.

Readers loved our best Best Sprint Smartphones 2012. They also liked our best Cricket Holiday Deals. The best Motorola smartphones of the year included the Droid RAZR MAXX HD  and other top models.

Motorola pushed the update to the Motorola Atrix HD and promise updates for the Droid 4, Bionic, RAZR and  MAXX.  Readers still want to know how to sideload apps on to the  Kindle Fire HD and wonder what the Samsung Galaxy S 4 will be like.

We wondered if the iPhone 5 iOS 6.02 Updat fixed the ghosting bug. The most read review was for the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (II).

Favorite tips were also for the Samsung Galaxy S3 (III) and  Droid RAZR M, HD, MAXX.

We saw how the Next Big Thing Between Santa, and Mrs. Claus worked.

We wished all our readers the happiest of holiday seasons, see you can tell which phones are in our photo. Bet you can't guess....
