CES proved to be a hotbed of new smartphone and tablet announcements. Major smartphone makers Samsung, Nokia, Huawei and others announced new products. The carriers also revealed new products.

- Verizon Wireless announced the QWERTY Droid 4, Droid RAZR in purple, Droid RAZR MAXX , BlackBerry Curve 9370 and LG Spectrum.
- AT&T announced the HTC Titan II, Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket HD, Nokia Lumia 900, Samsung Galaxy Note,Pantech Element/Burst, Sony Xperia Ion and Samsung Exhilarate. It also announced new PlayStation Vita data plans.
- T-Mobile will sell the Samsung Galaxy S 4G Blaze and released the Nokia Lumia 710.
- Assus showed off the Asus Asus Eee Pad MeMo 370T, a Asus Transformer Prime 700 series and Padfone.
- Sprint revealed its its first 4G LTE smarpthones the Samsung Galaxy Nexus and LG Viper.
- Huawei claims that the Ascend P1 S will be the thinnest smartphone when released.
- Viewsonic announced the ViewPad e70 which may cut into Kindle Fire sales.
